Suggestion & Request, for those who have done the "temp. sensor" relocating kit......

Hi Guys,
I'd really like to do this partiular mod but I am reluctant due to the many posts involving this kit and issues after the kit is completed. It appears as though the kit might have vague installation instructions or they aren't as detailed as it should be, and because of this, several guys have experienced SES lights going on, after the temp. sensor kit is installed. It seems as though the wiring procedure could be more thoroughly explained and what should be done when making the connections to ensure a safe & permenant contact with wiring and connection(s). Can someone who has had total success doing this mod write detailed advise/instructions, so others can do this mod??? Or BEASTPOWER can reach out to the manufacturer and get them to revise the instructions?
Thank you.

OK Robert, here's the deal... Only 2 wires. With one wire, you cut a yellow/blue (#22 i think) DME wire and connect one iats wire (brown i think). Cut the wire and connect it so the iats wire is going into the DME harness. The next part is where some apparently have had trouble. There's a brown wire, i think it's a ground, #17 if my memory is correct. You splice the gray iats wire into that wire. i.e. cut brown wire, attatch iats gray wire, 3 wires total. If you only connect 2 you get an immediate SES light. My particular SES light had nothing to do with the IATS relocation, but i installed some ducting to the airboxes at the same time, which caused some confusion at the MAFS... Search for the IATS posts, there are some great pictures of what wires to go after and how to connect them, i think it was the Greg/Pong project.

Re: Suggestion & Request, for those who have done the "temp. sensor" relocating kit......

I would say that on average the SES light coming on is just a coincidence. In my case, I had the SES light come and go off every 4-5 days or so when I first bought the car. I just did the mod about 2 and half weeks ago and it has not come on since. I am actually a bit worried because it has not come on... doesn't that sound crazy. Overall, I am happy with it... the car feels stronger on cool nights, but it may just be in my head. As far as the instructions go... it is quite simple... other than knowing which wire to splice and where to mount the sensor you really don't need the instructions.
