Hey guys I would love to spread the word on these amazing tires. My previous tires where the Michelin pilot sports, they were nice but just didn’t hook that well in 1st and 2nd. So I upgraded my rims and figured I would try something new so went the BFG route. I have nothing but good things to say about these tires.......they are cheap, no road noise even at 180 , and have so much traction I feel the car is driving its self and I’m just there for the ride.

Re: BFgoodrich K/D

Glad you like them, I've heard mixed opinions on the K/D's. ALWAYS shopping for tire thoughts, though!

Re: BFgoodrich K/D

Dan,

First, 180! Now really, how fast have you gone in a car? In the M5?

I have only done 125 in the M5, but then I haven't gone to the track.

Regarding the tires, thanks for the info. Have you had P03s? I am in the process of upgrading my wheels to 19s, and am looking at tires and sizes. I think the problem with the BFG was Tirerack wasn't listing 285s. I will given them a second look.

Re: BFgoodrich K/D

I think you will find the BF Goodriches might be Michelins under licence. They are hre. My Rally team that I do the promo for is sponsored by Michelin and in the last round we ran BF Goodriches supplied our of the Michelin Semi

Re: BFgoodrich K/D

The k/d's are wonderful dry tires and while you mention no roise noise now...just wait. the K/D's are visciously loud after about three thousand or so miles.

They have amazing grip though

They only make them in 275 and 295 unfortunately (the drag radials that is). I tried to find 285's a couple of months ago. The 295's will rub, but I know a guy who had his wheel wells rolled and can now fit 295's without rubbing.

Re: new tires

It is time for me to get a new set of tires for my M5. I went in to the local Firestone just because it was convenient and easy. It didn't turn out to be so easy. They said there were only 2 tires (S 03s and RE040s) that they could fit on my car and that I had to have runflats. Any thoughts on this runflat issue and any other suggestions for a good set of all season tires. I live in Dallas so snow is not really an issue just rain.

Thanks
Riz

Re: BFgoodrich K/D

I was unaware that they make the KD's in stock M5 sizes? I have these tires on my 911 and the traction is pretty crazy. Wet - have never tried but I would imagine it to be pretty bad. These tires are a street legal version of the R1. highest performing dry weather tire out there for the street.

Anyone else?
