        VANOS test

        How do tell if your VANOS is working or not, my makes the dieseling noise at idle. I was just wondering if there is any way to tell if it working or not?

        2000, with 76,000 miles. I can say that power delivery is jerky, and car does like to bunny hop alot on starts.

        i wish my dealer was that nice, they are not being very helpul period (carbon build up in the problem). Maybe any other way?

        do a search on vanos here on the board. Its a common fault with the S62, so you should see plenty of comments around symptoms.
