          Newest Nav disks

          Hi all!

I thought I'd get the latest Navteq navigation updates for my 2001 CD-ROM-based navigation unit.
Since I want areas 1 & 2 (Pacific NW and California) and individual regions are $129 each, it seems like the best deal is to buy the 8-disk North American set for $199.

That leaves the rest of the U.S. and Canada that I will probably never use.
Click to view CD-ROM disk regions
If someone wants any of these new disks at $25 each, it seems like it would be a win/win for everybody.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

          Happy trails!
          Bert

Good idea, so how about someone East doing the same thing for us in the West?

          FastFwd,

Off topic but good to see you on the board again and sorry you missed our Northwest drive. Will you be attending the Historic's at PIR this July?

What version are you getting. I'd possibly be up for an upgrade if it is newer than 2003.2 for the Texas Region. Still driving in plenty of open fields acording to my latest version....

I'd be interested in a disk covering GA (Southeast?). How can I tell what version my disk is and if this one is newer? Thanks.

According to NavTeq, the current version is the same one you have, 2003.2.
I don't know when the next update is due.

Maybe you better get a Cayenne if you're doing all that off-road driving!

          Hi "Kid"!

Yes, I'm still burned about missing our drive. I definitely have got to cut back on my workload.
I am planning to attend the Histeric Races. Do you know what day the Washington crowd will be there? I'd like to see everyone again.

          Best,
          Bert

I'll be there on Saturday and probably Sunday. For sure, Saturday...and it'll be good to see everyone again!

          FYI.
Map 6 (New England and Mid-Atlantic) has been claimed.

          That leaves the following available:
          Map 3: North Central U.S.
          Map 4: South Central U.S.
Map 5: Midwest and Ohio Valley
          Map 7: South East U.S.
          Map 8: Canada, eh

I just ordered the package as well, assuming my 2000 disks are probably a bit dated. I also am only interested in maps 1 & 2 - if anyone would be interested in the others let me know. $25 apiece sounds like the right price.
