          Re-badge post De-badge...

Thinking that I would prefer the stealthy q ship look, my badges were removed using hair-dryer and dental floss.

Now I'm thinking I want it back. The stealer says there's no way to put them back on without the original ultra-sticky tape which BMW doesn't sell separately. The helpful parts guy at the stealer graciously offered to sell me the badges (which include the sticky tape) for only $55!

Anyone else tried to re-apply the badges?

How about using magnet paper ? One side is adhesive one side is magnetized.

You can put the badge on and take it off as you please.

I have my m3 badge and a 323ci badge magnetized. Tested up to 170mph

I too thought the stealth mode would be good. Decided to re-badge and got some 3M double-sided mirror hanging tape. It is about 1/16" thick with sticking power like no other. I traced out the badges on the tape and cut it with scissors and an xacto knife. The re-badged badges have been on for several months (over the winter in NJ, numerous car washes) and no signs of movement whatsoever. I got the tape at a local hardware store. Good luck. Nick

I second the magnet tape. If there is ever a change of heart, then there is no worries. Heck, even make a 530 badge for fun too...
Also there is no worry about accidentally getting the badge on cockeyed, as with the magnets you can just take it off and reposition it.

Well that's what I had originally planned, however, the only stuff I have been able to find comes in a roll, is too thick, not sticky enough and the magnet is weak. Does your stuff come in a roll or on a sheet?

          Thanks.

          Hi,
I bought photo sized sheets of the stuff. I am sure I have a couple sheets of the stuff left.

Do you know if I can just put it in an envelope attach postage and mail it to you ? If so PM me your address and I will mail it out this evening. I will be heading to FL tomorrow, so please do it today if possible.

IF not, I bought the stuff at Staples. I am sure any major office supply store would have it.
