Re: 1999 M5???

sounds fishy to me, there was not a 99 M5 imported to the US i believe, and that car looks like it has a european plate on the front. Plus the ridiculously low price and low milage just don't go together....looks like a scam.

Re: 1999 M5???

Im pretty sure there are some MY99's floating around. Actually, there has to be b/c the first one that I spotted was in Dec of 99.
Price and mileage sound a little off. Contact the guy if you are interested, and get all the info you can. See why it is selling for so little. More importantly, find a board member to go look at it in person and see what condition it is in.
Good luck finding the right one!

Now while there were M5's here in the US in 99, i'm pretty sure they were "model year 2000" cars. BMW's model year and calander year differ, so a car produced in 9/99 would be a y2k model year car.

Re: 1999 M5???

That speedometer has way too many numbers on it to be a 2000 american import. It also has clear corners. I think that would be a mentionable upgrade thats not listed.

Re: 1999 M5???

those figures dont surprise me a single bit, but then again... i dont live in the US. My car is a May 1999 production car. I bought it with only 25,800 miles on it! And it cost me about $27,800

I upgraded the front and rear lights, replaced the aluminuin trim shift knob and handbrake with the leather one, and replaced my black instrument cluster with a grey one!

all i need now is to replace the steering wheel and rear view mirrors and i should be set for a 2003 look!

Re: 1999 M5???

Theres only one way to find out.... go and check it out!

Get a chassis number and check done... I think Oceanside-M5 (Sam!) has an unlimited sub for 1 month - check his posts.

You never know you could be in for a bargain ... or at least a good test drive...

Not for the U.S. market

The E39 M5 was available in the U.S. only for model years 2000 through 2003.
