Post Long Island NY Autocross pics.

Just a couple of pics from today's run. According to the organizers, there were no M5's present or M Coupes (which is the car best suited for this event). Anyway, the car with the best overall time was an E30 M3.
No wonder that car has a cult-like following.

The next one is Saturday May 19th. Be there or be square.

Setting up for the run. This car needs a bath!

This baby can also do some dammage. He did'nt run (still under break-in)

Hardcore autoxer's they even brought a set of slicks. The E30 still took them to the cleaners.

The colorful competition.

What do you mean we have to leave? we just got here! Let's show these guys what 400 ponies can do... next time Mr. Blue

Hey Max, you should have left that guy a note telling him not to park so close to you next time? LOL I injured my knee, hopefully only a sprain, or I would have come to watch. What are the hours on the 19th? I work 1/2 a day.

OUCH!

Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope you'll be able to work the clutch soon as we have lots of events coming up.

The Autocross is usually an all day event. They start at 8:30am & end at 4:30. If you plan to have a run, you should be there early. Otherwise people come and go throughout the day.

This started out as a BMW CCA event, but now includes virtually any brand.

That guy in the Camry didn't bother me, it's the SL500 that went out of his way to park next to me that made me nervous.

Clutch is no problem, it's the gas and brake!
My left knee was surgically repaired in 1997, when I tore my ACL. The injury occurred 4 days after I just picked up my M3.
BMW's and soccer just don't mix well. I guess SMG can't happen fast enough for me, because it looks like I'm going to need it.
