Would somebody (BeastPower?) please put together a group buy on this stuff? I'm sick of paying $8-10 per quart at the dealership. Does BMW have an exclusive on this or what?
I'm researching now. If I make some good contacts, I'll post back here.
The only source I know of is BMW. Although I was told it was used by Porsche also. I don't think there is any deal to be had, nor do I think you can get it direct by Castrol.
a local tuner (sanspeed) in bexleyheath, kent, uk sells tws motorsport 10w60 in 1 litre and 5 litre bottles - cheaper than bmw too!!! i'm hoping i can buy oil for my service from him and give it to the dealer! are you sure you can't get it from specialist shops over there.
I believe that bmwna is the sole importer of the castrol tws 10/60 for the US. I may be wrong, but unless you have a contact in europe.... I think you may do better shopping dealers, maybe getting a GB that way. I believe i've gotten the oil in the $8 per liter range, where normal list is around $10-11.

The price here in the States averages 9.00 USD or about 5.04 GBP at today's rate (22 May 2004)
Sounds like you guys in London should import it from the States
The exchange rates haven't been very favorable to British companies, as the falling dollar makes British products too pricey for US markets. It's trending up now, so maybe things will get better for you guys:
