Devoured an E60 545i
Strolling along southbound on the FDR Drive and minding my own business when a black E60 pulls up on my tail and starts to tailgate big time. I'm thinking this E60 is calling me out to play. No problem. I pull into the middle lane to see which E60 it is and to see if it's worth the effort. That move I see gives the E60 a sense of confidence as the E60 speeds up to pass me. I let the E60 pull in front of me, I see 545i on his tail. OK, here we go, push the sport button, and now I'm on his tail as he tries to out accelerate me. No can do, I'm still on his tail. We just pass the Brooklyn Bridge overhead and I know we have open road ahead, as I know this part of the road is always clear. He's accelerating more, I pull along side on his right side to glance at him, I stomp on the accelerator had pull ahead and I pass from his right to in front to his left. I slow a bit to let him catch up, he's on my right now, he's trying to out accelerate me again I see, I stomp on the accelerator and now pass he from left to right and I slow again to let him catch up.
We're side by side again, now I honk him and wave bye-bye to the E60 545i. He's getting smaller in my mirror as I take the tunnel to the West Side Highway. On the West Side Highway I come to stop at the first traffic light. As I'm waiting at the light, a good 15-20 seconds later and the E60 pulls up to my right and honks his horn. Open my window and he comments, holy
sh-t, how fast were you going, I said just enough.

Re: Devoured an E60 545i
No surprise, see my post on the 645i manual "its official" where I found the car wanting.

The E60's are quick, but they still cant dethrone the king. Good kill, and thanks for the story. I just cant wait to see what the E60 M5 will do.

Re: Devoured an E60 545i
Nice story - I'm always a bit concerned on the FDR given the police often posted near the Brooklyn Bridge, but there is a nice stretch as you buzz south past the seaport.
