Plugged and staked secondary air ports! Technique courtesy of Dusty Renteria, formerly of Dinan!

Looking sweet, especially the subframe.

Ignorant question - what advantage does plugging the secondary air ports offer?

Thanks!

Just a clean and efficient way of eliminating the piping on which the secondary air valve sits, which is of no use if one has eliminated the secondary air valve and pump. Put differently, this is something you want to do only if you are eliminating your secondary air valve and pump, which is the case on most if not all supercharged S62 setups.

Wow looks very nice, too nice LOL. I wouldn't want to scratch up that shiny front sub frame center jack point with a dirty old jack saddle. I was thinking maybe you could use some of that truck bed liner just on that jack pad, or maybe on that square section of metal around the jack point. That way it would still look pristine for a while maybe. But maybe I'm just anal LOL.

Some E39 M5's
2003 Acura CL-S 6MT
Some Land Rovers.

Can I add to the ignorant questions list?

I understand eliminating the secondary air piping - car gets the error, codes it out, deletes the piping - finished.

Why is it necessarily the case for SC'd S62's?

Looks good Peter. She better be in attendance at TimmayFest next year so we can all see it! You won't be able to leave the car all weekend as so many people will be checking it out and asking questions! haha.
