Re: Stay away from RMS because Osh is a conman !!
Black M5, sorry to hear of your troubles with RMS.
I have been a BMW owner (M3 and M5) for 10 years. I began to hear stories (all bad) of RMS and Osh soon after I started looking into upgrading my M3. RMS apparently has a history of poor work on complex projects. IMO, their project cars are simply a way to get a guinea pig to test out his products, however unready they products are. There have been many complaints about RMS and Osh over the years, and the sad part is that no one believes these stories until it happens to them.
A friend of mine has a co-worker that wanted to get his 3 series supercharged by RMS. I passed on the stories that have circulated over the years about RMS, but his co-worker didn't want to believe it. To make a long story short, it took almost a year and a half before he got the car to work/run right: constant SES lights, running problems, etc. RMS refused to respond to his calls and would not assist him until he threatened legal action. Yes, his car seems to run alright at the moment, but the stress and aggrevation was totally unnecessary. They apparently do not stand behind their work.
Strangely, the practices that Black M5 alleges RMS conducts sounds suspiously like the tuner that worked on Vipers, but, unfortunately, the name of that tuner escapes me.
Black M5's bad experience with RMS/Osh is just another one of many circulating among the BMW community. You have all been warned about RMS. Do not ignore it.
