What is that void next to the fog light switch?

Hey guys...Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the M5's come with everything fully equipped?...
Then can someone tell me what that void is next to your fog light dial?
It seems to me that some kind of button was blanked out.

thanks

On European Spec cars WITHOUT Xenon, you have the option of Manually ajustable headlight leveling. The rotaty dial goes in teh small void next to the fog lamp switch.

We don't get that option on any cars sold in the US because we can't be trusted with adjusting our headlights based on cargo/passenger loads. We're too busy drinking soda, chatting on cell phones, taking nots on those damn suction cupped notepads, reading newspapers and applying makeup while shaving.

Think about it... Would you want that control in the hands of all the other drivers? I think we all get blinded enough by people who never look at their instrument cluster and therefore never see that little blue light.
