another poser in our midsts!

I never thought I'd see it, but there's a fake M5 runnin' around in the city. I was driving my '03 ZO6 and saw a silver e39 with the M5 front end, so I had to check it out. I had to make a u-turn and finally caught up with him side by side a car back from the stop light. I had him roll down the window and asked him if it was an M5. He hesitated a little and said, yeah! Yeah, right! I had noticed he had a Dinan badge on the trunk lid and runnin' 20" chrome wheels. Also, I noticed he had the square rear view mirrors both inside and out. I asked him what year it was. He said it was an '02. So, when the light turned red he started to take off, so I goosed it a little, but he didn't even bite. Geez, if it were a real M5, he'd at least give it a little run for the money. An M5 is subtle, but give me a break! Geez.

LOL, the square mirrors give it up all the time. Too bad he thought it was an M5...maybe he was just trying to get a rise out of you, as he knew you would kick his butt.

Maybe that guy was just being dumb and biting on his own words. You should have told him he was your hero but lets not pull a Martha Stewart now~

Re: another poser in our midsts!

The thing is the guy has a perfectly nice car as is, there is no need pretending it is an M5..

all the best
