1st Laser Experience!

Today was my first confirmed laser jamming experience – and it was gooood!!

While driving on a four lane street (Broadway for you Denverites) in moderate traffic the Passport 8500/ZR3 starting RINGING. The laser signal sounds sort of like an old telephone; it always takes me a split second to recognize the sound source. I quickly

  • Tap the brakes and check the speed – only 38 in a 35 so no worries.
  • Drop my hand to the remote mute button hidden in the shift boot. (With ZR3 jamming continues until the mute button is pushed)
  • Locate the laser gun. An officer is standing on the side of the road shooting oncoming traffic.
  • Push the mute button to release the jam.
As I pass by the officer lowers the gun towards the ground and it appears he starts pushing buttons – maybe a reset?

This encounter confirms for me that the ZR3 works and I feel much more comfortable with that knowledge.

Cheers.

Mike

Re: 1st Laser Experience!

Good on you Mike. Now if only them **** denver cops would be as worried about keeping trash like wheelbarrows off the major highways as they are about catching speeders on streets that its almost impossible to speed on in the first place I'd be happy.
