Since I swapped to S-03s on the M5, I've had two rears damaged beyond repair by punctures at the shoulder, then one rear experienced belt separation bad enough to cause a vibration, now the right front picked up a screw and, upon closer examination, the tire's experienced enough belt separation to cause noticeable deformation in the tread and there's a small, oddly-shaped crack or tear inside at the shoulder (does not appear to be the result of underinflation - the tire was not visibly low when the screw was found and the tire-defect warning had not fired.)
So whether they're just crap or whether I'm just unlucky with them, I'm giving up on the S-03s and going to Pilot Sports.
I've gotten reasonable life out of the S-03s, and they're not quite gone, but close enough that I don't mind tossing 'em at this point.
I'd thought about trying the Goodyear GS-D3s, or the PZero Neros (I've had exceptionally good luck with PZeros on one of our other cars) but I'm not in the experimenting mood right now.
