I agree they look really bad on this black car. It might look OK on very light colors though, but I'm not going to try it.

I personally don't like clears with any color car. But the poster mentioned that he could have gotten red and smoked - has anyody seen these? Those might be cool.

Got rice? haha j/k

Well it is too bad they did that to such a nice car... now I’m waiting for the Supra style wing and the 4 huge exhausts... maybe even racing stripes

I agree that the clear lights look AWFUL--and I know this from personal experience. I ordered the '01 red/white rear facelift from bekkers and receive, by error, the clear lights. I planned on sending them back immediately, but in a moment of mental insanity my son convinced me to give them a try on my jet black beast. I did and they looked pathetic--i felt like a ricer. in any event i immediately called bekkers and received the red/white rear lights. even my son agreed that the clear lights looked horrible. in fact it has convinced him not to put them on his '98 m3.

M5laser. BTW, you live in a beautiful area (at least in the summer). i've been up to nova scotia the last couple of summers--usually up to the keltic lodge in cape breton but always stopping in halifax).

Everone has their own tastes. Everyone has the right to modify their vehicle however they want.

That being said...

YUCK!

What a horrible thing to do to such a beautiful car.
It boggles my mind, and makes me want to take the poor thing home, administer some
loving care, and arrange for speedy transplant surgery. I mean, hey, if you
want to do that to a Honda, be my guest... but an M5? Please, just say no.

Thanks Steve! I have gotten a few compliments on this forum from people who have been up here.. always surprising that people even know where Nova Scotia is! The Keltic Lodge in Cape Breton is very nice too!
If you take your M5 up here and feel the need to show it off to a very grateful teen then feel free to email me and drop by!! I have only ever seen one E39 M5 here
