Northeast Posse rides again (and freezes)

Here's the link to some pictures I took yesterday where myself, Sean, Al, Rakesh, Frank & Danny were in attendance. We ate well and then were surprised to find basically no one out at the Sunday morning location where you usually find over 100 cars. At least we had a little bit of fun on the ride over and even though M5's and RS6's are fast, they found themselves no match for the 911 TT's gulping cold air.

Yeah Jim.. 2 degrees was enough to freeze the proverbial's off the monkey.

Nice pictures of the two Porsches.

Looks like you guys had fun, and were very cold!! Nice to see that everyone still meets up even without their M5s, I hope the Boston gang does the same. Beautiful C2 Corvette, what engine is in it? Although you were in the Porsche, how do the RS6 and M5 compare to each other in regards to performance?

Re: Northeast Posse rides again (and freezes)

Regardless of the temps, the cars still looked awesome. Gorgeous shine on the Guards Red TT. Some real die hard owners I would say.

Regards,

Terk.

Re: Northeast Posse rides again (and freezes)

I can only remark about what I witnessed and then discussed with Al, Family M5 here, the owner of both the RS6 and still has his M5. Before heading out, he said he felt the RS6 was faster than the M5 in feel. On the open road, with it's lack of a manual and at speeds over 100, it appeared the M5 was faster due to the ability to downshift. He was trying to use the "manual" mode and the RS6 wouldn't let him downshift. His son Darren, who came out of an S6 stated that the car would have done better if left in automatic. Since we were playing around and not racing, it's hard to say specifically but I will say that a certain black turbo overtook an M5 at 160 and was pulling away fast and a certain red turbo overtook the RS6 near 150 and left him like he was in reverse. Fun!

Re: Northeast Posse rides again (and freezes)

It was a nice short meet. Yes a certain black porsche spanked me at 160 like I was standing .
