Forgot to post pictures when this was completed, and I know the pictures aren't that great, but here is where I mounted my V1 remote unit:
and here is the unit itself:
I found a very small (10mm?) wide break in the leather around the steering wheel through which to feed the power wire for the remote. Otherwise, getting the wire up there would have been difficult.
The remote unit's wire also snakes behind the HPS airbag in the driver's side A-pillar and I taped it down to keep it in place. I made sure it was definitely not in the way of the airbag deployment should it ever need to deploy (let's hope not!).

Sorry for the crappy pics. The first pic doesn't even show how the wire is hidden - I will get a better one probably tomorrow. It was freakin' frigid out there today so I wanted to get back in as quickly as possible

Hi,
Would it be possible to get a pic of the connections made to source the power for the radar, from the sunroof area?
I have the same setup, but haven't been able to get a good wire to for power yet.
That part has been well covered in other "how to" documents. You can search the forum and find a lot of them. I just followed those

Brian,
Your installation looks great! Did you take the trim cover off of the HPS airbag to run the wire and if so, how does it come off and go back on? Where did you run the wire into the dash? Did you think about putting the V1 remote display on the right side of the instrument dislpay (so as not to cover up the service interval display) or was it too cumbersome to run the wire there? Thanks.
Nice interior color combination choice by the way.

Hi Nick:
I did take the trim cover off. To do so, first pull back all the rubber door seal trim by hand (it's on there tight, but don't give up). Then use a tiny flat screwdriver to pop the plastic "HPS" badge off. Behind that is a torx screw that you need to remove. Then the panel lifts off easily.
The wire snakes across the top of the windshield hidden by the trim panel, then down the A-pillar behind the airbag, then under the dash (I removed the lower panel to get it in there) and up through the tiny break in the steering wheel surround leather I talked about earlier. I removed the wood trim to get at the opening. I will try to get a picture of this later.
I would rather cover up the service indicator than the items on the right side - if there is service due, the information should come up on the check control display anyway, and the same goes for any "Check Engine" lights. So covering that up was not a big deal for me.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian. Does the wood trim piece just pop off or is there another technique that I should know about? I don't want to damage anything.
