On the OEM wheels, people are running Dunlops, Bridgestone S-02s, Bridgestone S-03's, Kumho's, and Michelin Pilot Sports, AFAIK. I have had all of the above save for the S-03's. The Michelins are the best, by far, for pure performance. The Kumhos trade some performance for huge cost savings, and they're still decent, honest tires.

Re: Rubbers

I plan to run Yokohama Avs sports, I run them on other cars, and love them to *****...But never try them in the snow, all other wheather is fine though.

I gotta say I'm really un impressed by the stock tires, guess you gotta save money somewhere, but the car could be so much better with better tires, and for that matter a better drive train.

Re: Rubbers

Everyone,

Do any of you all have road noise on Bridgestones S-03's at about 13-15k miles? Mine make horrible road rumble and now love to track the deep grooves in lanes.
The car tracks straight on smooth roads and doesn't pull to one side or the other, but once you get on any type of road that is not plane smooth the car is all darty.

The shop foreman at the dealership says that the OEM tires will have road noise at about 13-15k miles.

Is it just me or do these tires do that unique tracking/tramlining or whatever you want to call it?

Carlos

Michelin Pilot Sport (275 front and 285 rear). SO-3s are also very good, but still inferior to the Michelin. Michelin Pilot Sport Cups can lead to vibration problems, and are therefore not advised.

Cheers.

PS In the UK "rubbers" means "condoms"

Re: Rubbers

I used to have the Dunlops as well and changed last year to Bridgestone S-03's after having had a set on my Boxster for a year or two. The Bridgestones are stickier, quieter and communicate the steering great. I would greatly hesitate to try anything else for myself. Love 'em.

Re: Rubbers

Pilot Sport A/S - stock 245/275 setup.

When it thaws out here (5 degrees F here this AM!) I'll be switching to regular Pilot sports - probably 265/285.

Re: Rubbers

By the way, in my opinion, the Pilot Sports are a better tire in every category versus the OEM Dunlops.

Re: Rubbers

Your two best options are the Michelin Pilot Sports and the Bridgestone S-03. S-03 is a better performer but wears faster then the Michelin.
