M5 vs. Civic, guess who won!

Well you guessed right, the Civic. I got my tail handed to me by a Honda Civic. I couldn't believe it. I'm assuming NOS, but jeez, this is just too embarassing. I hit the rev limiter in third and he was walking away! I think I'll go sulk now.

That will happen....the Civic is the worlds most understated supercar.
You can make them fast, I just have always wondered why. Have fun licking your wounds, but dont do it for too long, it's just a Civic with a lot of money stuck under the hood.

A Civic can be fast, well any car can be fast! I have heard of Civics with Spoon engines blowing away some serious cars before!

Just remember, the M5 isn't a drag car, rather a car that can do it all well, and at the end of the day your in an M5 and whats he in?

yupppppppppp
civics are fast

specially the hatch back from 93-95 .. they are light as hell
put b18(type r) or b20(crv) engine and soem mods, and it really goes..... if u put on a turbo,, i think u can kill abotu any car on the road from standing start

b20 on civic is pretty crazy,, cuz it got teh big torgue..

Nice to hear from you again, zee.

At the end of the day I think you know why you bought the M5, and I am fairly certain it was not for the drag strip

you're right, a civic is just that, a civic

Say, i appreciate your guys understanding. I've talked to some people who've said you can make civic's into 10 second cars. The M5 is not a drag car, that's not why I bought it. It's the ultimate do everything very well car. But, it does make me want to drop one of those Lingenfelter supercharger's in the ol' ZO6 and kick some NOS civic butt! and then some.

Not to put salt on your wounds but I do agree that Civics can be made to go insanely fast in a straight line and corners. Don't forget all the Civic road race cars out there. There are so many parts for that car it's not even funny. People have been racing Civics for many many years now.

I used to have a turbocharged one myself. Fun but not quite an M5 if you know what I mean.

ive been beaten by a civic too(early 90's hatchback). from a dead stop he was instantly two cars ahaed. by the time we hit 70 he started to slow and i was catching. i looked in his car after the race, he only had a seat, steering wheel, and a shifter. under the hood was a nice turboed jap spec motor. it was fast from the jump.
