Need help on X5 Nav System.

I finally bought X5 for my wife. Can you install a factory Nav on the X5? How much do you think it will cost?

        Thanks

Yes, it has been done. It costs aboout $4000. You may want to post this on the very active X5 board at:

I would just go for an Alpine unit...then put nav-tv--so the family can watch movies and tv.

        Go with aftermarket if possible

Having used/bought the BMW Navigation in my X5 I have to agree that using an aftermarket unit is probably cheaper and you will be able to choose a better quality product (such as Alpine).

As mentioned above I'd suggest to go with either a fix or flip-out screen and NAV/TV. If you go for Alpine they also have a unit which allows you to tie in your cell phone (Nokia).

If you are looking for a shop who's done several X5s I'd recommend Sound in Motion on Brighton Ave (corner Commonwealth Av) in Allston/MA (that's where I've had my X5's system done)
