Need help: Guys, where can I find/get detailed instruction...................
regarding, "HOW TO REMOVE & RE-INSTALL THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS" ? I need very accurate and detailed instructions, since I need to remove the two front seats. I am very much a novice with auto related matters, so that is why I desire exact accurate instructions.
Can anyone help me please???
I thank you kindly.
Robert
I have plans on installing a safety harness seat belt system on both the front driver & passenger seats. The harness is made by DEIST. For me these belts are superior to the Schroth harness belts. I'll be installing the 6 point safety harness belt system by DEIST. For this reason, I know the seats have to be removed, so the harness belts can be properly anchored onto the bottom of the seats, where they bolt onto the car.
Anyone??

It is important this is done right. What about giving Dave Z a call?? He is in your neck of the woods, and as a racer will understand the nuances of getting the set up right. I don't think it would take a pro very long and if you ever need the belts to work, they will do the job they are intended for correctly!!!! Just my $.02.....
Regards,
Jerry

Jerry and Dave.... I should ahve been more clear...........
with my previous wording. Im sorry for the confusion. I actually ment to say that I will be having an auto shop do the job. They dhave installed the mentioned harness belts in various cars including the Audi RS6 but, to date, they have not done an install job on a E39 sedan. So I thought if I could supply "the auto shop" with some detailed instructions, there job would be a lot easier and have a lesser chance to mess anything up, if you know what I mean.
Now, Can anyone help me ????\
Thanks.

If these guys can't figure out how to unbolt a seat and the electrical connectors (and possibly disconnect the battery as a precaution), I don't think I would trust them with the important task of putting in a racing harness that I may have to rely on some day to save my life. The M5 is certainly no more complex than the RS6. And don't help, most places charge extra when the owner tries to help!!! If they know their stuff, just show up with the hardware and a checkbook and let them do the rest!!!
