m5 euro delivery? has it ever been done?

Anyone know if BMW has ever had a euro delivery on an m5 purchased in the U.S..

It would be the dream come true to get one delivered in europe.

The other question is - if the answer is yes does anyone know what dealership was willing to do so.

There definately used to be. Time will tell going forward. In fact, until the new BMWUSA.COM website, in the M5 section, there was a part in there about Euro delivery for the M5.

What would be cool, Euro delivery, and pickup at the Performance Center!! Wonder how long it is going to take the Performance Center to get M5s.

There are definitely people on this Board who have gone this route. A quick search showed this thread (there are others as well):

European Delivery of M5

Have fun - I wish I could have done it!

Euro Delivery was available on the E39 M5 from 2/00 onward.

Ordered mine 12/99 for 4/00 build, found out ED was available and changed the order, got delayed due to spousal work-schedule conflict, picked up car 6/00. Went through Ganley BMW in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Was the smoothest car buying experience of my life, overall. Even managed to arrange a 'courtesy delivery' through a dealer here. Sales rep was Taylor Martin, haven't talked to him in a couple years, though.

Bear in mind you're not going to do Euro Delivery on an E39 M5 now, since they're out of production.

BMWNA apparently holds back on offering ED on some new/high demand models for a while, as well, so the E60 M5 may not be available for ED on day 1.
