Hey Sam,
I had some UUC swaybars on a past e46 323 which used poly bushings. From past experience with polyurethane, i was ready for squeeking as the lube wore away, so i drilled a hole, can't remember the exact size thru the bushing and the bracket. I then threaded a 'zerk' fitting into the bracket so i could use a grease gun and pump some grease in every so often. The bushings were grooved, so they would hold a little grease, and the grease could theoretically be pumped in and spread around.
It seemed like a good idea to me, i wasn't sure why it didn't come this way in the first place.
I ended up getting rid of the car a couple months later, so can't say if it worked or not...
Mike
