It appears that you have a nice updgrade to your soundsystem. I would be interested in seeing pictures of the the sub woofers and amp. Does your car still maintain room in the trunk for "stuff"?
Thanks.

KEV...............

There is no loss of trunk space, since the replacement woofers are mounted/located in the same area of the stock DSP woofer system and the amp that powers the two woofers is mounted in the cubby hole section of the truck, which is located on the right side of the trunk. t actually an access panel/door. You know what I mean, right?

robert,

thanks for all of your help! If you wouldnt mind answering just several more questions...

1) do the door panels have to be removed?
2) where are the crossovers mounted?

once again robert, i really appreciate the helpful answers.

more answers............

yes, the doors panls have to be removed, inorder to access the speakers. No other way to get to them.
Regarding the crossovers, you will not be using the MB QUART crossovers, since your pluging the MB QUART speakers into the factory amp, which has its own crossover. The facory crossovers are built into the factory amp. You can't see them or access the crossovers. so, the MBQUART crossovers go unused. The Quarts sound fine with the use of the factory amp and its bult in crossovers.

robert,

you have convinced me to go ahead with this project. i will most likely be using the same MB Quart PCE213's, front and back. However, for the subs, I think I will be using the A/D/S a10 free air sub. this should just drop right in and i will see how it goes powering them with the stock amp. if i can just get a tad more bass ill be satisfied. thanks for the inspiration robert!

Related Question: So I have a 00 M5 which doesn't come with the M audio option. What size holes are currently in the rear deck. Is there a 10" hole like the newer cars or some 6x9 POS...

Fast5, I wasn't clear or maybe Imissed it. Did you just have the DSP Stereo or did you have the M-audio option?
