Jayson,

Eibach makes Schnitzer....same bars. Save a ton and buy the Eibach 28/18mm kit. I've seen them as low as $385 for a set.

If I were you though, I would leave the 27mm stock bar alone and simply install a 17mm adjustable rear Dinan. The cars are set up to understeer like a pig with the 16.5mm stock rear bar. The only time I'd see a need for 28mm front bar is if you upgraded to 9.5" front wheels to match the rear. Then you could "use" the added front roll stiffness without overpowering the narrower front tires.

Hope this helps

Board member Derek Sadowski has the rear adjustable Dinan anti-sway bar. He commented to me that set at the middle stifness the car actually oversteered to much, he moved it down a notch to the softest. Overall it sounds like just the rear bar will help things dramatically. Also the BeastPower Sway Bar Brackets are a great thing to get with the car, especially when upgrading bars.

Told you I had your back BP!!

Hey Travis,
Thanks for your support. Send me your address and I will ship you one of BeastPower's $79 carbon fiber and aluminum limited edition paperweights as a free gift for your dedication to the Beast.

Cheers.

PS I have the Dinan bar set at the middle and it works great, but my suspension and wheels are heavily modified.

I have mine set to the stiffest setting and have had no problems with oversteer..... I have the full S3 kit though. Also have the BP brackets and they are a superb piece.

ChuckC- All in all it comes down to how the driver likes the car. I think that having the full Dinan suspension may alter how sensitive the car is to under/oversteer.

BP- I will send you my info, thanks a lot man!!

I know everybody has an opinion on whats perfact or more desirable than another, thats all kewl but thats also all Ive found by serching, basically the same people taking one persons opinon and running that. Thats all kewl.

I too will be doing the wheels, and other suspension stuff, which is why Ive been trying to make a list so I can fit it to what I'm gonna end up doing and what I'm after.

The more options the better.

i'd really like to hear about the tecniks since at list I know thats another one and come up with more, bmw is big in the aftermarket there has to be many many setups.

Jayson-

Here's the info on the Technik swaybars. They are also made by Eibach and are 28mm/18mm. I bought mine from Sam at Rennsport in Southern Calif. Phone 310/235-2015. GREAT ADVICE and SERVICE!

These swaybars are one of the best mods for the price...under $400 but plan on paying about 3 hrs. labor if you don't install yourself. The front install is quite difficult and an experience mechanic, who isn't trying to rip you off, will take at least 2.5 hrs just for the front.

They work great! They greatly reduce body roll and when you turn-in to begin a corner, the car tracks with much more response. Went on a drive this past weekend on nearby canyon roads with two buddies--one driving a 97 Porsche twin turbo (400 hp)and another driving a 2000 Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo (400 hp). They were amazed at how my M5 handled the turns...from high speed sweeping ones at 100 mph to tight low speed at 25 mph. They could not keep up with me...granted I've had more racetrack experience than they have had.

Also had them installed with Beastpower's rear SB brackets and I had the high-performance shop say, "they look like they could hold up a bridge". I feel much more confident when taking 100 mph turns!!!

Cheers, Brad
