i forgot about a/d/s I have heard some good things about them...when i had my old car i was so into the speaker/sound/bass thing i guess i have gotten out of it.

If you upgrade to a more potent sub you are probably going to need a ton of dynomat to help offset the rattle as with my setup (non m audio) i have rattle all the time if my box is in sitting a certain way

I have since taken the sub out since the 5 really is becomming more of a race car by the day..but its nice that my entire set up comes out in one shot...amp/box/speaker

Re: I need help finding quality Free Air woofer speakers.........

Adire audio makes what are likely the best free air woofers (true woofer, not mid-bass design) on the planet, at this time..with price and output being part of the equation. Home or car. I should know, I design systems, and ahve been analysing such drivers for years.

Re: I need help finding quality Free Air woofer speakers.........

Seemingly ... Adire Audio products are NOT yet available here !

For whatever the reason ... NONE of the listed California Adire Dealers have any of their mobile product on stock.

IT's very hard to form an opinion by listening to something that is NOT yet available.

Oh Well !

Re: I need help finding quality Free Air woofer speakers.........

If you go to the Adire Audio website and then Click on "California" ... Pick anyone or two or three of the Adire Audio Dealers listed there and you'll see that NOT ONE of them has any stock of Adire Mobile Audio Products. Anyway ... It's really not worth having this debate as to whether their products are or are not readily available. If they that HARD to get hold of ... Imagine what it would be like if you needed to have Service on one of their speakers for some reason or another. Not something that I'd like to get involved with.

Let us know how it goes if you decide that the directions you are going.

G'Luck.

Re: I need help finding quality Free Air woofer speakers.........

Some info on Adire:

They recently bought a factory in Chile and have been tooling up for about the past year. They are trying to make sure that their product is completely up to snuff.

They are also changing marketing tactics, with fully distributed systems of delivery as opposed to direct(ish) marketing. This messes with pricing structure, and they are in the midst of sorting that out. All this stuff...takes time. Always has, always will.

These things both take some doing. I've spoken with the persons involved, directly, on numerous occasions.

I have been assured that the products will be fully supported and easily available..when they are satisfied with the production situation.

These things are important for me to know personally, as I am looking to make a product launch that will have one or two of their drivers (custom designs) take a prominent role in that launch.

So yeah, I'm up on what's going on over there.

I like their stuff very much, otherwise I would not be looking at it, at all.
