After what seemed like an eternity, I finally have Bluetooth connectivity in the Blue Beast! Pairing up the phone to the car was surprisingly easy. I’ve made a couple of calls, and all seems to be working as designed.
As for the phone, I ended up choosing the Siemens S56. I figured the German phone would work best with the German car...
I do have a question that I hope someone here can answer. When looking at the tray, I discovered a button that ejects the entire tray, revealing what appears to be a power/data/antenna type connection. This implies that there is some way of attaching the phone directly to the car. This would be great for charging the phone (and I’m guessing, signal reception via the external antenna). Does anyone here know if they make an adapter or plug-in type tray for the Siemens phone?
Gustav, the link only takes me to the SE news site.. no phone is mentioned.. Perhaps the site is dynamic and refreshes with new info..?

Mark, the US uses 3 different types of cell phone code.. CDMA, TDMA and GSM..
This "competitive" landscape means that say Nokia has to make 3 types of phones to compete in all 3 frequency ranges.
This does not happen because they will make a few phones for AT&T, a different phone for T Mobile and so on..
That said, it is my belief that ANY bluetooth phone should work. I have read good and bad about the SE T610.. so I am waiting before leaping into the handsfree zone.
Hope you had a great Fathers Day !!!

Ericsson is the best! I've been using mine for 3 years, and it's perfectly fine.. whereas I don't know anyone who has a Nokia which lasts more than a year..

With Java applications you can control your computer with the phone. Im sure the car not to soon from now and of course synch it with your Palm too as well as 10 m wirelss headset.
OK, this is getting far more confusing the trying to put a destination without knowing the town into the NAV
With SE there is a T610, T616, and now T618. On there web site they look the same. don't see any sig differences.
What gives? I want bluetooth, reliable calls, long battery life, and small size/weight. I am going to just go do some more brain surgery...for me it is easier.
