Angel Eye Upgrade

I just ordered the OEM angel eyes from BMW. They quoted the install will take 5hrs. Does that sound way too long? I currently have the 2000m5 xenon lights.

May I ask..

How much a the OEM pair cost you, including shipping/handling? These have the clear corners right? Did you get the clear side markers separately or comes in bundle?

BTW, 5 hours sounds way too long. Lots of people are DIY'ers and take them less than 5 hours!

The part I ordered is the the BMW accessories catalog.

Description & part #
5 Series Halo Headlight Kit 82 19 0 144 333 $660

I never specified clear or amber. Clear looks better but I don't want any hassles in the future passing state inpection.

If they are not the same lights that comes on the 2003 model I will do a return.

that price sounds way too low.. I think you might have gotten the non-xenon version....

i agree with tfung

I think you may have halogens on order, if you get a xenon kit for 660, let us know where, as that is a great price. From a dealer, you'll likely get the amber corners, as on an 03 car.
I installed the factory angel eye kit on my 98 528 a couple years ago, took less than an hour. I'm holding off on doing it on my 00 M5, too much other stuff I want....

Just got back from the dealer, Tfung & Mottati are correct. The angel eye upgrade was for a halogen light setup. I guess I will have to order from hid4less.

Thanks for the input guys.
