This is all your fault, so now I need some help

Hello all,

I have been looking to have my Oxford Green M5 detailed for a while now, but I was resisting the path of truth (as shown in Anyone ever hear of these guys?)

However, now that I have seen the light, and Erich Lipinski is due any minute now to make things good, I need some help:

Over the 20 months I have had this car I have tried at various times to capture the Oxford Green color. I have tried all kinds of lighting, times of day, angles, etc., and the best I have been able to come up with is some suggestion that the car is green instead of black.

Any suggestions on capturing this color on film? After Erich is done, I think it will be worth trying to capture how the car actually looks.

Thanks.

You might try a a polarizing filter on your camera lens. You can adjust the filter to "remove" unwanted reflections from the painted surfaces thereby enabling you to photograph the richness of the color more accurately. I suggest using full early morning sun or late afternoon sun for more drama, shaddows, etc. with a very low camera angle. It worked well for my imola beast.

Best way to show true color

I would try late morning or early afternoon in full sun, with a strong fill flash.
