Anyone go with the Hamann Daytona kit yet?

New to the boards. Owned a 97 supra twin turbo, modified like crazy, and currently looking for a 2000+ bmw m5 to play with next. I did a search on the board for the hamman daytona, and found that according to a member, it costs 30g's + because you need to purchase not only the widebody kit, but the wheels and exhaust as well... Has anyone done this on the board yet? I mean if the DINAN S2 upgrade costs $35,848... I'm sure someone here has done the Hamann widebody.

I know Gustav had some success flaring the fenders out, (don't know whether they are made of fiberglass, or if they are pounded out sheetmetal - I'll ask him)... Just curious to find out how many of you have actually widened the E39 body. Any pics?

Don't think anyone on the board has the kit yet... At least it looks better than their competition kit for the M5... :p

That isn't my style as I feel that it looks overdone and to flashy. Also instead of looking into the S2 package I would first look into other mods such as CAI systems and Powerchip software, members have been getting good results from them. The S2 package it just to much money for the hp gained. You also want to get a well balanced car where you have the right power for the supension and everything works together. A member named M5Don commented on how he felt the S2 felt a little to tail happy and light.

Hope this helps.

I managed to strip out a few things but still they wanted 20k for the package incl. wheels, It just wasn't worth it.

Sveilside- My old ride is the darker supra pictured. Based on your sn, was yours a silver veilside? LOL.

540IS-

20k for just the fender panels and wheels? Wow... What else was included in the 30k package?

Might have to ask my body shop to retrofit some fender flares on there after all.

i never knew how much that kit was...forget it. I was figuring something like 8-10 max (and yes i certainly know that 8K for a body kit is still crazy) but my supra people on here can at least feel the pain some too...as that Ab Flug kit for the supra is some 20K i think too

oh well...not sure what im going to do now

HOWZIT JOHN!!!

I checked into the Haman Daytona after I had the S2 done. The only authorized vendor in the US is Wheel Power in Cali.

I told them all I wanted was the body kit and wheels since I had already done the S2. The faxed me a quote w/o exaust and suspension etc and the quote was still 30K!!

No fugn' way!! I does look cool as hell though.
