Just changed out my rear Mintex Red Box pads (at ~1mm friction material remaining) and replaced them with Axxis Deluxe Plus (thanks, DaveZ!). I could not find the minimum thickness spec stamped on the OE rear rotor. Anybody know what it is?
My micrometer says current thickness is .755", or 19.2mm.

On a similar note: has anyone found a good source for OE rotor replacements? In the past, I've bought stock front rotors from the mailorder department at Pacific BMW. I'm not sure if there's another good resource for OE rotors.
I'm considering having them gas slotted to match my StopTech 355mm fronts.... any vendors to recommend?
Now my second question is less significant: no need for new rear rotors when I'm only at 50% of allowable wear!

BTW, these things wear like iron (tee-hee)! I wore thru a set of OE pads (Jurid, I believe), then a set of Mintex Red Box, and now onto the Axxis replacements. That's 58K miles, of which ~3K was on a track!
Uh, that's 'cuz they ARE iron. BTW, are Axxis Deluxe Plus pads off back-order yet? They've been out of stock so long I'm thinking of buying a spare set just to keep them in the garage!

In case you need this information again, all BMW rotors have the minimum thickness etched in the "hat" portion of the rotor. The figure is in millimeters. Look for what appears to be several connected dots and you will have found it.
