Check out the new beast!!!

I picked up a new Beast this weekend. Weighs more than the original Beast, and has a whopping 32 horsepower!! Zero to sixty in...wait, still counting...

Tons of fun!!

Actually, you'd be surprised at the options available. One option I got is what they call e-Hydro, which is a hydrostatic transmission with electronic drive pedals. Just like the M5 has an electronic throttle, the pedals on the tractor send an electronic signal to a processor, which then tells the tractor how fast to go, one pedal for forward and one for reverse. Three ranges. The loader can lift something like a thousand pounds. The rear wheels are 25 inches and are filled with a calcium solution to add weight, about 500 pounds each. That provides ballast for the front end loader. Its also got cruise control, 4WD, locking differential, and a cupholder that would teach BMW a thing or two. Giant yellow umbrella/sunshade is optional....

Anthony:

Great buy. Nothing runs like a deer, especially when you are tearing up earth and mowing the lawn at the same time. That driver's seat is also more confortable then the M5 imho as it even rocks back a litle bit. Do you have large property that you need to take care of or is this more of a play toy?

We bought 14 1/2 acres of land in Upstate NY that we plan on building on next year. It is horribly overgrown and needs a lot of attention. The pricker bushes were 10-15 feet high with 3-4 inch trunks. We plan on clearing 3-4 acres in the beginning, and would like to do it ourselves. I got a lot done yesterday and will keep working at it all summer and fall. After the house is done we plan on clearing more as the need warrants, like for horses, gardens, childrens play area and so on.

Its a blast to drive, but I still consider it work. Its just very fun work. Except when a wall of prickers descends on you. Ouch!!

****- very nice. New ones are mighty pricey though. We have some older ones, a 2240 with loader, a 950 and a 755. That one looks very cool!

Actually, I learned how to drive on a tractor. Also learned how to drive Standard at the same time on the same tractor. God, I loved that long throw gear shift, and that clutch? Goodness. And yea, it was on a farm in Austria (Branua) Anyone know it?

That would look great with some crossed drilled rotors and a coilover kit

Seriously

Hello, and thanks for the hilarious post! I just bought 20+ acres in northern California, and will be making a similar purchase for similar purpose (clearing bush and trees, and moving dirt, some on fairly steep slope.) Anyway, are you happy with your purchase? Anything you would do differently? How much did you pay? Thanks in advance.
