I suppose it was a tribute to the RS6 and couldn't have it getting spanked by the Beast.
I'm talking about the bottom left video with the Sterling Beast.
Watch the Launch closely. If you've ever tried to Launch a Beast, You'll know exactly what the driver did, and exactly how badly it effected the run.

You mean the video "Tribute to the RS6" I guess.
I never said that M5 was launched well. Blame the owner of the car who was behind the wheel not me.
We only did 2 starts from zero to spare the M5. (Both cars were on winter tires btw.) The reason why I chose that clip was because in the other the RS6 driver (certainly not me!) started with his front tires far away from straight resulting in the car going hard left in the beginning. Didn't look too good if you understand...but nevertheless the RS6 won that race.
So I only had 2 clips to chose from and the one you've seen, yes the driver gets a really bad start.
BUT that is exactly part of my point. With the RS6 you can do almost what you like, even a moron can drive ultra-fast while the M5 takes its man and you will not win the race if you make any mistakes.
We've been over this before but my conclusion from the M5 - RS6 test we did together (we would certainly have liked to do more tests) plus any other figures on the web/magazines is that the M5 will never win from 0 - 100 km/h. From 0 - 160 km/h and 0 - 200 km/h it seems to be very dependent on the car you have or who is driving the M5. I have not counted how many times the M5 won over the RS6 and vice versa in magazines but maybe one should.
Rolling start also seems to be very dependent on who goes first and 'coincidence.'
We did a few rolling starts as well and I can't really come to any conclusion. A few times the M5 won a few times the RS6 won.
But we could only go up to about 200 km/h becasue of the road layout. If everything's stock I'd bet my money on the M5 above 160 km/h.
Last time I was trying to measure a 500 bhp RS6 100 - 200 km/h (Gustav's request) Mr. Murphy paid us a visit and it started snowing in spring time.
So we do our best to find out 'the Truth' but it is never easy.
But one thing is very clear, the sound from Kellners exhaust fitted to the Sterling Silver M5 is way better than stock RS6.
