I am sorry but I am not familiar with this particular auction. Is this a "dealer" auction or is it a public auction and should one assume that these are end user numbers?
mannheim is dealer to dealer wholesale. Generally you have to be in the biz to buy at auction from them. The prices that you see from Manheim pretty much line up with what dealers offer on trade-in (sometimes a bit more, but then they are just taking from the top on selling their car). It's the price that is actually changing hands at - rather than asking prices.
Thanks for the auction info. These numbers really don't look that far off some of the proposed 48 month residules that I saw when I was initially looking at my M5. I suppose one could assume that they may be further depressed when the new E60 becomes available, OR maybe they won't, simply because the new car is so **** ughly
This is relevant because (as a little mouse once told me) BMWNA uses the Mannheim Auction Report to set the prices at which a dealer can buy back a leased BMWFS vehicle within the last 90 days of its term.
