Boston BMWCCA Annual concours event!!

Museum of transportation in Brookline tomorrow. Wondering if any of you guys are heading over there. Some people are meeting at Chestnut hill mall parking lot around 9. Show is from 9am-2pm. There say they are expected to see close to 100 cars this year. See you guys there if your going, take care.

Can't make it, sorry. I was supposed to show my car, but I busted a wheel, and decided to spend the weekend in NYC.

Have fun whomever is planning to go!

I wuz there....glug...glug

For those of you who missed the "fun"....it rained during most of the time usually used for final primping. After "rags down", the judges (of which I was one) met to get our assignments. By the time we started judging, the lawn was all puddles of water or mud. I was quite literally soaked. It rained so hard my wallet got soaked thru a raincoat and jeans.

We (Concours Chair Derek DeSousa, judges, entrants) decided to postpone. Derek's working hard to find a good time and place.

THANK YOU to everyone who braved the monsoon and almost drowned! Hope to see you at the rescheduled event.

I'm glad it's being postponed, and not scrapped all together. I really wanted to attend, but was thoroughly discouraged by the crappy weather. As far as a new/different venue is concerned, Crane's Castle near Essex would be a great place. I know there was some sort of event there last year on the lawn behind the house.

Yes, the event was definatley a wash out. It ws nice to see everyone there and I will try to nmake an appearance at the next event as well.

Doug:

I think you may be talking about the Concours at Castle Hill. Very well known concours where Ralph Louren and others display their beauties. Of course after yesterdays scrub down, I think your M5 may have a shot

Thanks, TC... didn't know that event was such as big deal. Too bad though the Trustees have decided to not host the event this year due to financial (read legal?) concerns: http://www.castlehillconcours.com/
