Two New M5's In Showroom

First, the bad news...

I was down a half quart of oil, so I topped it up. After driving about 4 miles, I start smelling smoke. "It can't be me" I think, but sure enough, the oil cap didn't seat well, and the engine compartment was spewed with hot synthetic...

Enough bad news...

NOW, the good news!!!

I go to the dealer to have it all cleaned up (they even gave me a new cap for free), and while I'm waiting I stumble into the showroom. What do I find there, you might ask????

TWO, not one, but TWO brand new M5's! I know, big deal, but this is a small dealership, and they rarely see M3's or M5's. I guess somebody backed out of one, and the other was just becuase it didn't have a home.

The first Beast:
Sterling Grey
Silverstone Sport/Aluminum
No PDC
No Shades

The Second Beast:
Jet Black
Black Sport/Aluminum
No PDC

These cars are offered at MSRP. Call Jason Smith at Prestige Imports in Santa Rosa, CA if you're interested. If you buy one, he will split the commmision with me, and I will donate my half to the "save the www.bmwm5.com website name" fund (to Gustav)...

Hey those are my cars! I wanted the Jet Blk, but wife insisted on the STG. Got it last June and been smiling since.
Some lucky customer will be very happy. Can't go wrong with either.

My dealer has two in stock, Titanium Silver and Carbon Black- only one in the showroom though.

It's also a smaller dealer... interesting they still have stock.

Stopped by my dealer yesterday and there were no M5's in the showroom but there was a gorgeous Topaz Blue Alpina Z8 and also an Estoril Blue X5 4.6is. The Alpina Z8 looked absolutely stunning.

Regards,

T.

Hope your beast is back to normal Jeff.

Which dealer is that? I think they may have snapped up the last of the M5's to sell them at a premium??

MSRP

Ashok: It's as normal as normal can be :p . I still have a bit of oil smell when it's hot, but the tech did a great job of cleaning off the Belly of the Beast.

The Dealer is Prestige Imports in Santa Rosa. The cars are offered at MSRP. I think they might even be willing to deal a bit on them They had a Z8 on the showroom floor for months before they finally traded it for MY M5 allocation
