Anyone seen this interior before?

I was surfing ebay and found this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6131

I have never seen the M cloth on an E39. Does anyone know if this is an individual option? I like it a lot in the e36 but I am not sure about the e39. Sure is rare though.

Nice find! I have never seen cloth in an M5, but I do I prefer the leather.

Cheers.

Since leather is standard, it's probably a no cost option to downgrade to (half) cloth but this really isn't very nice

Why?

I would never order a "luxury" car and then take cloth sets...

MAybe they grip better through corners etc. but I personally do not like the combination of an M5 with cloth seats.

I remember seeing a M, 3 or 5, with gucci cloting interior... But that was custom made though... Do a search, and I'm sure u'll find the thread. I can't recall anybody liking it, got thumbs down.
I agree with M Power, I'd prefer leather in a lux/sports car...

This seems to resemble the no-cost cloth seats option available for the Euro- M3s with the special patterns. It might look OK in the M3, but I concur with others that full leather should be the interior of choice in a sport luxury sedan.

It looks a lot like the M Texture Alcantara with Nappa Leather interior option. There was a Lagunna Seca Blue M3 in my dealers showroom a while ago with that interior. The M colours in the cloth look quite nice but I agree, cloth in an M5 does not seem to look right.

Regards,

T.

The owner probably doesn't want sticky seats in the summer

I was told that the X5 4.6 only comes with the cloth combo interior. While I liked the truck I was not impressed by the seat coverings.

Where did you hear that? The X5 4.6is comes with leather not cloth seats. Either the sport or the non-sport. I have personally seen one up close with the leather sport seats.

I thought that Alacantra seat insets were an option in the Individual program...No??? That's the same stuff that's on my US M5's headliner, right?

That might feel nice

Derek,

I believe that you can order the 4.6is with either the leather seats (black or red) or with Red Alcantara/Black Nappa or Silver Alcantara/Black Nappa leather.

T.

Thanks Terk -

Another great example of BMW NA's fantastic dealer network.

The salesman says "Sorry, they only come with that interior." (Pointing to the one on the showroom floor)

It's still there.
