        99 M5 with Celis (2001+) rear lights??

        Hi,

I've been searching through all the forums, and can't find anyone who has fitted the new 2001+ rear lights to a early m5.. I've been told by dealers and stuff, that there is a ecu update required.. is this true??? The lights themselves cost only a third of the price the dealer is quoting, as I can fit them myself (DIY)...

anyone fitted these to either a 1999 or 2000 m5?

        Many thanks for any info...

Buy the hella kit...drill the four holes, connect the ballasts that come with the kit into the wiring harness and your done...No ecu upgrade or anything like that. I linked you to BMWTIPS.COM on Roadfly. The instructions are there save for the location to place the control units for the lights. There are no problems in doing it.
