The EXCUSES i got through to drive the beast.

my edit:
ooops
sorry about the thread subject, its not 'got through' its ' the excuses i GO through to drive the beast.
*end of edit*

Damn I really fish for ANY excuse for myself to drive the beast. I had been trying to cut down on the mileage, not doing that bad now (maybe 2k miles in 2 months, as oppose to 2k/month).

today i was looking forward to my root canal at the dentist. it was a sunny day, and i have been avoiding taking the car to work because the roads are crap, the weather is crappier, and the beetle goes in (lease ending) and has 5 k miles i can burn. So since everybody was doing there own thing today, pops with the s500, mom with the beetle, wifey with the jeep (usually me and my brother go to work together, took the mcoupe this morning) i had NO CHOICE but to take out the beast, ahh screw it if the snow is melting and the car is going to get dirty . so i was wondering what excuses you guys make to drive your beast?

my root canal as i said was probably the most twisted excuse i had. My mouth is numb, my jaw is in pain, but i am happy because i got to drive the beast on a nice sunny day . of course the normal get the milk excuses go without saying, i got more milk in the last 6 months then 6 years before that due to the beast, but have cut down, not a supermarket ding yet on the car, would like to keep it that way for at least this summer.

How about the Long Island Meet as an excuse? My car's been more or less (mostly more) winterized since December. I'm driving it to a weeklong business trip in New Jersey next week JUST so I can have it for the LI meet on the 17th. Can't wait!

FAS,

I don't have any excuses yet, four more weeks, but a ROOT CANAL?!? Well, maybe...but I'd draw the line at an extraction!

Any old excuse will do...

Need anything from the store hun? I return 3 hours later, I just could'nt stop driving.

Saturday I visited a Circle BMW (70 miles from here) just because I had to get some accessories that I could have ordered by mail It's just not the same is it?

On the road again!

It is August 13, 2001 and I tell my wife I am going out for Krispy Kreme donuts.

About 4000-5000 miles and about 1 week or so later.. I return with a box of donuts and tell her:

"But honey, Greg said the donuts were better in CA than in TX! And while I was there, I was abducted by 100+ M5 owners and forced to drive at insane speeds around a race track! Almost didn't make it home?... and they didn't let me leave until I fixed Bobafett's wiring harnesses"
