Are Dinan wheels the same as the Breyton Vision?

They look the same, and I read somewhere that Breyton made them for
Dinan, but I'm not sure. They cost almost 1/3rd of the Dinan's on Tire Rack. Does anyone know? Are they good wheels?

Dinan wheels actually look different from the Breyton Vision wheels. The Dinan wheels have a groove in the center of each spoke and they also take a little different curve into the wheel center.

The Dinan wheels are made in Japan by Speedline.

Cheers.

Thanks, BP. Are the Breyton's good wheels?

the Dinan wheels are forged, Breyton Vision wheels are not.
Dinan weights about 17.5-18 lbs while the same size of vision weights about 30 lbs.

Dinan wheels are actually made by SAC wheels here in the US. They are forged which makes a very strong and light wheel; 17.5 lbs front & 18 lbs rear.

Breyton wheels on the other hand are cast and heavy. Boring was right with the weights being close to 30 lbs, which is rediculous for a one piece wheel. Breytons also tend to be soft as well, which makes sense since they are cast and not forged.

I would never run wheels that were not forged .... they just aren't up to the task. Your OEM M5 wheels are actually forged, just like my OEM 19"s.

So we've got one vote for Breyton, one for Speedline, and one for SAC as the manufacturers for Dinan wheels. I say they are made by American Racing.

Don't forget about squeeze cast wheels. They are mighty strong and light too.

The wheels are made by SAC (Speedline America Corp) http://www.sacwheels.com exclusivelyfor dinan. It is listed in the wheels portfolio, model RS63. The wheels are spread forged and manufactured in Japan. Breyton Vision is not the same quality but similar in stlye (7spoke). The Breyton Vision uses a full face design and the dinan has a lip and the line down the center. Also, SAC is now apart of Champion Motorsport (Porsche, Audi and so on).

SAC/Speedline also makes the wheels for the Lambo Murcielago, and wheels for Techart.
