What's included in full maintenance?

2003 M5's include full maintenace for 50K but I can't find any detail in my manuals on what's included in that. When I picked it up, the dealer said it includes everything -- even tires, but "under the tire manufacturer's warranty" ??

On the website I find:
3: Full Maintenance Program covers all factory-recommended maintenance, as determined by the Service Interval Indicator, for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Full Maintenance Program includes items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear, provided wear and tear exceeds BMW specifications. This includes items such as brake pads, brake rotors, and wiper blades that are not covered by the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Any adjustments required due to normal operating conditions are also included. For exclusions and limitations, refer to the Service and Warranty Information booklet that came with your new BMW, or see your authorized BMW center for details.

What have people had replaced under BMW's full maintenance, or does anyone know in detail what it covers?

As instructed above, it might be best to call the dealer and talk to one of the friendly service advisors or better yet the service manager. Brakes, wiper blades and belts are general items that can go during the warranty period. This is the case with my 530i anyway, as per the service advisor.

Here's the email I got from BMWNA when they first announced the program:

FULL MAINTENANCE PROGRAM NOW INCLUDED ON ALL MODEL YEAR 2000 BMW AUTOMOBILES

Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, September 1, 1999
BMW of North America, Inc. announced today that the BMW Full Maintenance Protection Program will be included at no additional cost for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, on all 2000 models. This program includes all factory recommended
maintenance as listed in the BMW Service and Warranty information booklet, plus the replacement of wear and tear items such as brake linings, brake rotors, engine drive belts and wiper blades. Adjustments, which are required due to normal operating conditions are also covered.
The flagship 750iL and 750iL Protection models will continue to have Full Maintenance Protection coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles.

Beginning in 1996, BMW of North America, Inc. included Scheduled Maintenance at no additional charge on all 1997 models sold on or after October 1, 1996. "Our Scheduled Maintenance Program has been very well received by our customers, so we’re delighted to be able to elevate the standard coverage to the next level, not only providing customer satisfaction, but providing exceptional value as well," said Tom Purves, Chairman and CEO of BMW (US) Holding Corp.
