Silverstone/black is indeed as you guessed the grey/black interior combination. It's been available since day one for the M5.

Silverstone is the grey accents on the black leather, Ithought it looked good with the silver exterior and aluminum dash trim.

I plan on doing some serious canyon runs when I pick the beast up. I ride a Ducati 998 so I know some of the fun roads pretty well. I'm looking forward to suprising a couple of my bike riding friends with the beast!!

I don't think I'll be able to make the Wine country Ride ont he 19th although I'd love to - wine being one of my other real passions - but I need to spend some time at home with the wife and our new baby Kate.

It was Kates arrival that made me trade in my 911 for the M5 as my wife was concerned that the Porsche wasn't baby friendly. After thinking about it for a bit, and looking at the M5 specs I quickly agreed with her before she could change her mind

You must be talking about the twisties over in Malibu country. I used to ride a R1 myself too with the gang...went to the Rock store a couple of times. Lovely roads out there!

Great choice, although I miss my Porsches every once in a while, the M5 helps me forget. Hope to see some pics soon.
