A/C jacks and jack stands

Not to long ago there was a group buy for the A/C jacks and jackstands. I would like to hear what everybody thinks of there purchase. Is every one happy? What would you have done different. I was unable to make a purchase at the time because I was in the middle of building a house. I am now ready to spend some money. Since everyone here has some experience with these jacks I would like to know which model I should get. I would be using it on a M5, BMW X5, Dodge Dakota 4x4, and a Porsche Boxster. I am planning on getting a jack and 4 jackstands

Thanks for your help!

Frank

I bought an AC jack before the group buy came up, best jack I've ever had by far. It has a very low height when collapsed so it easily fits under my Caterham. And, the release is the best I have ever used or seen, very controllable. Their jacks are absolutely first rate. I have not tried their jack stands.

I have been working on cars for 40 years and the jacks and jack stands are the best I have ever owned. How's that for a recommendation?

Call the Ultimate Garage.

I was also part of the original group buy too. I bought the larger jack and four jackstands. I couldn't be happier with the quality and ease of using these items.

I highly recommend these items from AC too.

I've read bad things about the harbor freight jack in particular, and harbor freight in general. Cheap junk.

Guess maybe it was too good to be true, although $180 for a jack is hardly cheap. What have you heard and can you provide link to source? I almost bought one!

I bought the DK13HLQ floor jack with the rubber pads and the 3000N-Flat jackstands with the rubber pads.

Try contacting Steve at ultgar@earthlink.net.
