Post Alternative to the aluminum trim

I know that alot of people have expressed their dislike for the aluminum trim peices found in cars equipped with the sportive interior. I thought it would be nice to take out those aluminum peices and have them "satin" chromed to look similiar to the wheels. I think this would look great with the all black sportive interior. It think this would look alot better than the "brushed" aluminum, which, in my opinion looks similiar to a painted plastic. Anybody agree. I would estimate that the chroming would cost around $400-$500, as opposed to the $1,200 for the carbon fibre that Schnitzer is offering.

What do you think?

I love the ALuminum trim. Goes well with the Black/Silverstone interior and Jet Black exterior. If you DO go with the satin chrome, post some pictures. I'd be interested to see how it goes.

Ryan, did you ever have your aluminum trim "satin chromed"?

Good idea -- I still have all my old damaged aluminum trim pieces, from when I replaced them with fibre.... I don't really like the fibre quite as much, and have been considering enameling them and seeing what it looks like; what technique are you think of for refinishing them?

Could you post some pictures of the carbon fibre panels, i'd like to see what they look like, where did you get them from?

Unfortunately, I have no digital camera... I'll try to borrow one and snap a few pix. The kit came from Bekker's Import. I'm not incredibly pleased with it, but it's not bad.
