New Michelin Pilot Sport
There is a new Pilot out. Michelin calls it a all season sport. They indicate a better grip, both wet and dry, longer tread life and a 10% cut in price.

I was shopping for new front tires at Discount Tires yesterday when this subject came up.

Does anyone have further information on the tire?

It was discussed a while back... do a search...
I think general consensus was that the tire was useful if you're lazy and don't want to switch between summer and winter tires, but other than that, traction and grip, etc sucks compared with the regular Pilot Sports

I was told by Luke at TireRack that the Sport offers better grip in wet conditions at the expense of dry traction, something I don't want.

Besides, the thread design doesn't look good compared to regular Pilot Sport.

Looks interesting, but the SO-3s or the Pilot Sports are the best tires for the beast, unless you want R compound.
