Yes, I have the Kumho tires and I'm very happy with them. After picking up a huge bolt right through the center of the drivers' side rear Dunlop tire that came with the car I was forced to replace all the tires due to the Dunlops were about had it and I didn't like them from day one. I was over 100 miles from home and had to spend the nite since M5 tires were nowhere to be found in a small rural town where I was. In addition, I was not too excited to spend $1500 plus for a set of tires (Goodyear, Michelin, Continental, Yokohama, etc). I had already done quite a bit of research on the available tires and the Kumhos had great specs and good testimonials. 50% of Kumho is owned by Firestone as Firestone wanted a secondary supplier of tires to replace all the Firestone tires associated with the Ford fiasco. Kumho is/has been trying to buy US marketshare and want to sell lots of tires here. That's why they make enthusiast tires in many of the OEM sizes (like our M5). Firestone matched Tire Rack's price on the tires, mounted them excellently, had them the next day for me and, get this, Firestone offers road-hazard coverage on them for $15.00 a tire! Nobody offers road-hazard coverage on an ultra-high performance tire. They're quieter than the Dunlops, better in the wet, better wear rating and nothing else comes close to the price. I have driven them hard 4 times at Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, Fontana International Speedway and Las Vegas racetracks. Tons of grip, little wear, look good and little squealing even under hard driving. Let's face it, the M5 is a big, heavy car and unless you strip the thing down to nothing it's always gonna' be a big heavy sedan and a tire, any tire is only going to do so much. So that's my experience. For the money, they can't be beat.
