I asked about this before I got it. The sales manager said "You can expect 15-20 miles, don't worry we won't drive your car". This made me worry. I asked my sales person any problems with the service folks putting undue miles on? He said "Well, the M5 is kind of exotic and everyone wants to drive it. I have not even driven one yet". I didn't feel any better.
It came in on July 3 (wednesday) and they called me at 4:30 in the afternoon to tell me. I guess they thought I could wait until the following Monday to pick her up but there was no way. I told the sales manager we were leaving first thing in the morning for a trip to Maryland, and I wanted the car. He called back and told me I could have it at 6pm

When I went in it only had 3.5 miles on it, basically the service shop is about 3 miles down the road. His last words were enjoy it on your trip, vary your speeds. To which I replied "Oh, we are taking the suburban. This baby is gonna be in my garage". You should have seen the look on his face
