I'm using the OEM wheels with the Dunlop WinterSports- these tires make a HUGH difference! Of course, my car has been garaged for while and alot of the snow in Boston is being cleared up so....but last year the Dunnies handled the snow great!

POW!

I have the Borbet wheels and 17" Dunlop Winter Sports that I got from tirerack. The tires are great, and work well at least in several inches of snow. They also handle pretty well, definitely better than blizzaks.

However, the Borbet wheels are really crap. I went cheap, instead of getting BMW 17 inch wheels. Big mistake. Three of these rims were bent within three weeks. I just had them banged out for the second time. I will try to ride out the rest of winter on them, and save my pennies for better wheels next winter.

Factory setup is not so good. Drove on Monday morning (before the blizzard hit) when there were a few flurries and traction was poor at best. Have not had a chance to take the beast out since then.

I have the Tire Rack Borbet/Dunlop recommended package for the second winter........and 28 inches of fresh snow that has drifted and buried the beast on the street. Took 2 days to dig her out.

Oh how I envy you people with garages.......The M5 and Boxter sit on the street......only the Sprite gets garaged and that is six blocks from my house.
