in 6 seconds!!

Has anyone heard about the Anthracite chroming process?? It looks like Black Chrome! Similiar to our Stock rims except it is entirely too shiny!!

I'm going to a specialty shop for a quote. take a look at my link to see average chromed rims...

Very Nice Indeed.

I wonder what happens if they scratch. I had mine stripped to bare metal and polished.
Click the link to my photo gallery.

Scratches aren't a problem, you could just sand them out and buff it up again, with mine. Not that I would ever test this principle.

I use Purple metal polish to maintain them.

Regards Mark

Nice wheels, have been reading your posts since joining and waiting for delivery of my M5. I knew about the individual program before but almost impossible to get on US spec card delivered in Germany.
Saw an individual M5 here with the two-tone sport seats, which I hadn't now thinking how I can get one.
It appears your car is silver but colors don't always appear right on line.

Ooops, That car is TiSi. Its my other car. The TiSi is only a Beast look alike 540.

My 03 Steel doesn't arrive until April.

I was just showing you the Polished OEM M5 wheels.

I will Post many pics of the Steel Beast when it arrives. It is quite rare in STEEL.

Steel is actually darker than Sterling.

Regards Mark.

I do like those chromed rims! Ocean-side M5, you're happy with the results? IIRC, it was a few hundred a piece to get them done?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Rims

MIB i like the look of the polished also. how often do you need to polish? I would assume that bare aluminum would require more work than chrome. I havent had any problems with scratches and they are a breeze to keep clean. just a little windex for weekly cleanings and chrome polish semi-annually for protection and removal of gremlins. {:+>

Southshore looooook here. {:+>
press here for info

I will soon have my rims re-chromed. I'm not sure but i think i like the new Black Chrome process...

Hey Ocean-Side,

Its just like waxing, The more you do it, the better they look.

I'd only do it if you are a wax type of guy. You really need to give them a good polish every Month. Its not a once or twice a year gig.

They look spectacular if done once a week.
